In exercise of the powers conferred on me by rule 172(2) of the Karnataka Value Added Tax Rules, 2005, I, Ashok Kumar C, Manoli, Commissioner of Commercial Taxes of Karnataka, Bangalore, do hereby notify that all dealers registered under Karnataka Value Added Tax Act, 2003 (Karnataka Act 32 of 2004), shall display name boards at a conspicuous place in the premises of their place of business in such a manner so as to be within the view of the customer.
They shall also put a notice containing a request to the customer to insist upon issue of a tax invoice or bill of sale for goods purchased by them; and a notice containing list of goods available for sale together with the rate of tax applicable to each of such goods, by all dealers other than those who have opted to pay tax by way of composition under Section 15 of the Karnataka Value Added Tax Act, 2003.
