In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 8- A of the Karnataka Sales Tax Act, 1957 (Karnataka Act 25 of 1957), the Government of Karnataka hereby exempts the tax and cess payable under the said Act by a manufacturer of Khandasari Sugar on the last purchase of sugarcane in the State, with immediate effect.
