Sub: Electronic filing of Form VAT 240 for the year 2010-11 |
The Department of Commercial Taxes has enabled the dealers to electronically file Audited Statement of Accounts in Form VAT 240 for the year 2010-11, which is to be furnished on or before 31-12-2011. However, several dealers, trade bodies, tax practitioners, etc., have represented that the time given for uploading the Form VAT 240 was too short and requested to extend the last date of electronic filing of Form VAT 240. |
2. Considering the request made, it is hereby informed that the dealers can file Form VAT 240 manually to their jurisdictional Local VAT Officer or VAT Sub Officer, before 31-12-2011 subject to condition that the Form VAT 240 shall be electronically filed on or before 31.01.2012.
